We didn't come from the funding industry. Our backgrounds are in banking, billboards, investing, and operating businesses.
Years spent working alongside personal injury attorneys gave us a firsthand look at the relationship between firms, clients, and traditional funding companies—and showed us an opportunity to build something different.
SettleUp was created around fair terms, fast service, straightforward communication, and genuine relationships with the Georgia law firms we serve.
We're based in Cartersville and focused on Georgia because we want to know the attorneys we work with, understand their firms, and provide a level of service that stays personal as we grow.

A Calhoun, Georgia native, Trent graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Risk Management after playing football for the Bulldogs from 2013 to 2017. Over the past decade, he has built his career across banking, real estate, private investing, and startup businesses.
He co-founded SettleUp to provide plaintiffs with fair, transparent financial support while giving Georgia attorneys a funding partner they can trust to treat their clients well, communicate clearly, and never interfere with the attorney-client relationship.
Trent and his wife, Fallin, live in North Georgia with their three sons, Frankie, Foster, and Harry.
